BrightLeaf ("we", "our", or "us") is an AI-powered educational platform designed to help students improve their reading and pronunciation skills through interactive practice and intelligent feedback.

BrightLeaf is developed and managed by Sieora Technologies, based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect information necessary to provide and improve our learning experience. This may include:

a. Student Data

  • • Name, age, class, and school information
  • • Voice recordings from reading or pronunciation assessments
  • • Progress reports, test results, and reading scores

b. Parent / Teacher Data

  • • Names and email addresses
  • • Relationship to student
  • • Feedback or communication history

c. Technical Data

  • • Device information (browser, OS, type of device)
  • • IP address (for security and analytics)
  • • Usage logs (time spent, lessons accessed)

Note: We do not collect or store financial information such as credit card numbers. Payments are handled securely by trusted third-party payment gateways.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide reading and pronunciation assessments
  • Generate feedback, reports, and performance analytics
  • Improve AI accuracy and learning recommendations
  • Send progress summaries to parents and teachers
  • Maintain platform security and prevent misuse

We never sell or rent your data to advertisers or external companies.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Student voice recordings and results are stored securely and automatically deleted after 12 months, unless the school requests extended access.
  • Schools, parents, or students may request data deletion or a copy of their data anytime by emailing ceo@brighttleaf.com.
  • Backup data is securely purged within 30 days of a deletion request.

5. Data Security

We take data protection seriously. All personal information is protected by:

Encryption

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest (AES-256).

Restricted Access

Only authorized BrightLeaf staff can access student data for maintenance or support.

Secure Hosting

All data is hosted on trusted cloud providers with global compliance certifications.

6. Children's Privacy

BrightLeaf is designed for students, including children under 18, and complies with child privacy regulations such as COPPA and India's DPDP Act.

  • We require school or parental consent before collecting data from minors.
  • Parents and schools have full access to review, edit, or delete student data.
  • We never show ads, sell data, or allow external access to student accounts.

7. Sharing of Information

We do not share personal information except in the following limited cases:

  • With teachers and parents for educational reporting
  • With trusted service providers (like Microsoft Azure Speech API) for processing voice recordings
  • If required by law or government authorities, following due legal process

All partners are required to follow strict data protection and confidentiality agreements.

8. Cookies and Analytics

Our website may use cookies to:

  • Measure page traffic and performance
  • Improve user experience
